Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Systems Manager to lead the deployment and management of our cloud-based academic ecosystem.
Our ideal candidate will be able to:
• Expertly administer School Information Systems (SIS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Guide and architect the implementation of robust cloud solutions that enhance teaching and learning experiences.
• Troubleshoot complex issues with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Listen to feedback from stakeholders and identify areas for improvement / optimisation.
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline data flows and improve operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversee the deployment, configuration, integration and alignment of academic systems including Learning Management Systems, Student Information Systems, and assessment platforms across the EiM group of schools.
• Ensure consistent functionality, data schemas and effective integration with the organization’s broader technology ecosystem.
• Conduct regular audits and performance analyses of academic systems to identify areas for improvement, ensure compliance with organizational standards, and address potential risks.
• Lead rigorous testing of academic systems and updates before implementation to ensure they meet user needs, function seamlessly, and avoid disruptions to teaching and learning.
• Act as a liaison between schools and the central data and information systems team, developing a deep understanding of individual schools’ needs, curricula provision, and timelines to ensure systems function smoothly.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with school leaders and staff, proactively seeking feedback and offering support to optimize system usage and user satisfaction.
• Ensure all academic systems contain accurate, well-structured, and up-to-date data, aligning data sets across systems to support consistency and interoperability. Collaborate with schools to address data discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
• Support the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) governing the use of academic systems, ensuring clarity, relevance, and consistency in processes across all schools.
• Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for school staff on academic system usage, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to maximize the systems’ potential and minimize user errors.
• Provide effective service delivery for academic systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues, efficient support workflows, and a high-quality user experience.
• Work with vendors to solve issues identified by schools and to deliver projects on time and within the allocated budget.
Requirements
• Proven experience remotely managing and deploying systems, particularly School Information Systems and Learning Management Systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with automation technologies such as Power Automate
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
Highly Desirable
• Familiarity with platforms such as iSAMS, SchoolBox, and SchoolsBuddy would be advantageous.
• Previous experience working in a school environment.
• Experience with integration platforms, particularly Clever and Wonde.
• Experience with API architecture, including designing, developing, and deploying APIs to ensure secure and efficient interactions between software components
• Knowledge of OpenID Connect (OIDC) and OAuth authentication flows to enable secure authentication and single sign-on (SSO).
